Walker Farms Wildflower Wedding in Lindon, UT.

“This is my favorite wedding yet!”

This was just one of the compliments I remember hearing on Gary and Rachel’s wedding day. While the two live in Salt Lake City, they chose Walker Farms in Lindon, UT as their venue. And why wouldn’t you? The large white barn, the pavilion for the outdoor ceremony, and my favorite mountain to view along the Wasatch Front, Timpanogos, make this a fantastic place to get married. The photos are stunning and this album perfectly encapsulates the Utah experience.

Rachel is overall a bubbly person and her and Gary are very authentic people. They wanted their flowers to be reflective of what they love, much like other elements in their wedding. Gary wore Adidas sneakers, which I assume are related to soccer, and Rachel wore Chacos. Their wedding was about bringing their friends together and honoring people who’ve had a significant impact on their lives. Rachel and Gary LOVE being outdoors. They often bike places and hike regularly. Naturally, Rachel wanted a wildflower look at her wedding. My goal was to give guests a taste of what the high desert meadows in the mountains look like in early summer when the wildflowers are in bloom.

There’s always a story of last minute panic and improvisation. Rachel’s specific request was that she have Icelandic Poppies, which was almost something I couldn’t deliver. The wholesaler didn’t have any available, so two days before the wedding, I called, emailed, and drove around. Luckily a local collective, Picklinq, had some that had just been picked. I was able to grab them and get them into her bouquet! Picklinq saved the day! Rachel’s other request was a fern runner down the middle of the tables. One of my assistants for the day was my husband and ended up being the only one with time to lay out the table runners, but I think he did a wonderful job, yeah?

My favorite part of this wedding was the installation on the staircase. This was my biggest installation yet! My favorite part of wedding day is putting in the installations. I love creating something that makes the bride’s vision come to life and gets a good “wow” out of the couple and their family. I absolutely love creating beautiful things.
